It Is *Never* Too Late To Listen

If these questions resonate, ask them often and use the answers as a purification process, a way to weed out the folk that are detrimental to your nervous system.

When you are in the company of a friend, a long-term spouse, a colleague or a family member, do you:

Walk on eggshells for fear of saying the wrong thing?

Feel belittled, rebuked, put in your (lowly) place?

Feel triggered, reactive, degraded, abused?

Try and work out what to say without causing offence because if you spoke truly from the heart, it would wreak havoc?

Add to the above list in ways that feel aligned with your best interests. Once you’re surrounded by your tribe, you may look back at some of the degrading, labour-intensive, sad, shrunken alliances you worked at for years or decades, and (get this): You may realize that your instincts were clutching at you to walk away if only you had listened to them.

I’m here to remind you. It Is *Never* Too Late To Listen.
